Back Tracks offers backcountry guided tours for groups of up to 10 advanced skiers and snowboarders. Two guides, members of Solitude Mountain Resort´s Professional Ski Patrol, accompany the group into areas just outside of the resort´s boundaries for all-day excursions.
All tours include a full-day lift ticket.
Guests are provided an avalanche transceiver, backpack, free heel adapters, climbing skins, snowshoes, and snacks. They also include lunch at Creekside Restaurant. Guests may rent equipment at Solitude´s Rental Shops for an additional charge.
Guests should be strong intermediate skiers or snowboarders in good physical condition. Guides will assess ability by way of a ski check in order to ensure guests´ enjoyment of the tour. Vairable skiing conditions may include deep powder, wind drifts, variable crusts, and slick surfaces on any given tour.
In this back-country terrain, unmarked obstacles do exist.
Tours are affected by avalance hazard and weather conditions. Tour prices are contingent on group size.
