The second cold-connection workhsop will explore a variety of innovative wire to plier bead setting techniques. Bypassing the need for a hot torch, students will utilize simple hand tools to set gemstone beads onto silver headpin wires. These beads will then be assembled into dynamic chain design composed of flush-cut and tumbled sterling silver jump rings. The class will conclude with a demonstration on forging a sterling S-clasp utilizing a hammer against anvil. Instructor will provide printed handouts, ring-n-bead supply kits, and all hand tools needed. Students should bring their own individual light, small extension cord, and an optivisor. $120 + $50 kit fee
