Suicide Six is nestled snugly in the Green Mountains and cradled by the Ottauquechee River in Woodstock, Vt.
Suicide Six is a mid-sized family area for all ability levels with 23 trails, including the famous Face -- for experts only.
Two chairlifts and a separate J-bar serving a beginners' area provide for skiing throughout the winter on both natural and man-made snow.
Other services include a cafeteria and full-service lounge, a sales and repair shop, equipment rental (including snowboards and telemark equipment) and a ski school.
The Woodstock Ski Touring Center
The Woodstock Ski Touring Center, named one of North America's top five cross-country ski resorts by Snow Country Magazine. You will find 60 km of trails surrounding the picturesque village of Woodstock.
Just out from the ski center are 10 km of gentle "meadow" skiing and 20 km of challenging woodland trails on Mt. Peg.
There are also 30 km of trails located across The Green on Mt. Tom. Skiing on Mt. Tom puts you on century-old carriage roads in the midst of Vermont's first tree farm. Take a break and enjoy the spectacular views and enjoy a picnic "warm-up" at the center's rustic log cabin.
All 60 km are mapped and groomed for either traditional or skating technique. Services include professional instruction, guided tours, rental and repair shop, retail store, lounge, restaurant, trail-side log cabin and locker rooms with showers.
How to Get There
Woodstock is centrally located in New England on Route 4, just 13 miles west of the junction of I-89 and I-91. The Woodstock Ski Touring Center is located a half mile south on Route 106 from where it joins with Route 4 at the The Woodstock Inn & Resort and the Village Green.
Daily air service from New York, Hartford, Conn., and Boston is available to Lebanon, N.H., only 15 miles from Woodstock. Taxi and car rentals are available at the airport. There is a daily bus service as well.
